Tips: Types of
Lubrication
They say that lubrication is the magic ingredient of awesome sex. Now let me explain, lubrication is not just for women who experience vaginal dryness. Moisture can make sex much more pleasurable. Just think that if he or a toy is sliding much easier then you will be more comfortable. Plus it really make the sensitivity greatly increased. Thus it will enhance your chances for climaxing. Now this is not to say that this is the type of thing that more is better. Its
not.
You will also need to be sure and choose the correct lube.
First off, anything that is oil-based (vegetable and nut oils) is not good, especially if you will be using a condom. Oil can put in tons of holes in rubber. We also carry a variety of flavored lubes which I tell my customers to not use for intercourse. These contain irritating chemicals and can cause infections.
Water-based lubes are usually the best but lets go through the different types ....
As I indicated above, you have oil-based lubes. These can stain fabrics and can be difficult to wash off. The are safe to use for intercourse if your not using condoms and they are also great anal sex and masturbation.
We then have petroleum-based lubes which are made from petroleum jelly. These are the most commonly used lubes. Types would be Vaseline products and baby oil. These lubes also will destroy latex so it should never be used with condoms, diaphragms or cervical cap. These also can irritate the vagina so its not recommended for vaginal intercourse. It is great however, for male masturbation and anal play.
Now on to the water-based lube. This can come flavored or unflavored. They do not stain and they are safe to use with latex. The one problem it has is it can dry out during long sex but you can revive it by adding a bit of water or saliva.
The water-based lube is primarily the lube recommend by
professionals.
Last we have the silicone-based lube. This is very similar to the water-based lube but this one is waterproof. This would be the lube to use for underwater play. Plus it stays longer and better than water-based lubes and since they are concentrated a little goes a long way.
Now on the down side, this lube can harm any sex toys that are made from
silicone.
There are a ton of different kind of lubes out there, so take your time and try various ones till you find the one that is right for you and your
partner.
